A two-piece stepback cupboard in old yellow with the upper section having two glazed doors flanking a vertical three-pane glazed window, the upper panes all having arched top rails. A substantial open pie shelf separates the two sections with the the lower section having three dovetailed drawers over two raised panel doors that flank a central raised panel. The upper interior retains the original green paint and the shelves have plate grooves. Nice form with decorative drop lobes on both sections, interesting shaped sides to the pie shelf, and a fitted back. In early yellow over the original brown paint, three knobs replaced. Ontario, 2nd quarter 19th century.

Excellent condition. Overpaint removed to original yellow.
