An unusual sailor's valentine with a photo of a child (likely the sailor's daughter) within a circle of shells on the left while the right side is more traditional with the classic heart and rose. In an octagonal case, good condition with minor loss to hinge area -- two halves are currently unattached. 19th century.

Requires 4 screws to reattach the sides. Untouched original surface on case. All shells intact.
