Description
A carved Nova Scotia foot stool in original crazed brown paint with a shaped skirt having a carved compass star at the centre flanked by simplified wings. The top has cut corners and a diamond/star motif while the splayed plank legs are incised and chip carved. Ex collection Alan Clairman. Nova Scotia, 19th century.
