American. 1860-1880. These types of lamps were made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Massachusetts and other manufacturers. The maker of this lamp is unknown. Glass, brass. Colourless inverted pyriform font with spiraling blue and white opal threads, brass connector, white milk glass base. #1 early lip chimney; #1 early lip burner. Transparent blue to colourless cut overlay Oregon shade with rough-cut foliage. Burner thumbwheel marked, “E.F.JONES.PATENT.JAN.11.1859”.
Condition
Bruise to top rim of shade.
