Description
American. 1860-1880. These types of lamps were made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Massachusetts and other manufacturers. The maker of this lamp is unknown. Glass, metal, marble. Colourless inverted pyriform font with spiralling blue and white opal threads, stamped brass stem and single stepped marble base. #1 blue patented petal top lip chimney, frosted and engraved with flowers and leaves. #1 lip burner. Chimney embossed, “PAT”D.FEB.1877." Burner thumbwheel marked, "PAT’D DEC.10.67. APR.7.1868".
