Description
An early swing-handled Nantucket Lightship basket with the classic wooden bottom and having two coloured bands encircling the body. Good condition with some loss to the rim wrapping, a single minor loss on lower body, and some fading to the painted bands. Nice patina. Circa 1870, from the Endicott Peabody estate, Canton, Massachusetts.
Condition
Very minor loss to rim wrapping and one minor break in lower section of basket. Otherwise excellent.
