Description
An early small (5.5") Nantucket Lightship basket with a low profile swing handle affixed with heavy copper rivets and wooden hinge inserts. Dating from the early period, 1860-75, in very good condition with some minor losses to the lower body weave. Stamped AV12 on bottom of base.
Condition
Minor breaks to the lower area of one side of basket. Double wrapped rim.
