Description
A continuous-arm Windsor chair found in Asbestos, Quebec, with nicely splayed legs and having an H stretcher with pronounced bulbous turnings. Old black paint over remnants of the original creamy-white. The legs are mortised through the thick pine seat which has a raised pommel and sloped front corners. Good condition, nice wear and patina. Ex Ruth and Blake McKendry collection, 18th century.
