Description
German. 1910s to 1920s. Lehmann was best known for their painted clockwork toys and tin windups. They ended their production of windups in the mid 1920s. Lehmann toys remain among the most highly sought after toys by collectors. The "EPL 723" represents the founder's initials (Ernst Paul Lehmann) and an inventory number. Marked, "Lehmann", on sides of tea chest. Marked, with Lehmann logo, on sides and top of tea chest. Marked, "Made in Germany", on lower edge.
Condition
Very good original condition. Complete. Each figure retains original ponytail. Tested and working. Some areas of minor marks to the painted surface, particularly the heads. Light soiling.
