Canadian. C. 1900. Dovetailed pine trunk retaining original paint and iron fittings. With painted inscription for "Capt. H.R. Payzant. ...Lan Fus". Likely referring to Horace Richardson Payzant (Born Halifax NF 1877, died Monte Carlo, Monaco, 1926). Also with paper labels of the Allan shipping Line and one for "Halifax". Marked, with owner's name. Labelled, with partial shipping labels, on front.
Condition
Retains old labels and original hardware. Old paint and script present throughout. Interior lock and keeper are old replacements.
