Description
New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. 1929. Extensively decorated walking stick from New Glasgow, N.S. The bark has been cut away forming herringbone and diamond pattern as well as arrow and arrowhead motifs. Small lengths of radiating branches are retained as further decoration. Marked "New Glasgow" and dated "1929" on the grip. Also with the name "ISSIE (?) LEVITT". Marked, "New Glasgow, 1929, Issie(sp?) Levitt".
Condition
Missing 2 "limbs" from length of cane. Relief carved "bark" with the spikes being part of the branch. Some losses to the bark.
