Description
Japanese. 1950s. TN or Toy Nomura gained widespread recognition for their innovative, high-quality and futuristic toys, being also best known for their toy robots. During the 1950s, they gained acclaim for their battery-operated toys which positioned them as the leading player in the global toy market. According to TN historical records, there were 4 original body colour versions of this robot (silver, charcoal, maroon and blue). There was never a true red version as depicted on the box. The company used bright red as it was proven to be one of the main colours that attracted the attention of kids and hence boosted sales. Marked, "TN", logo on box.
