Description
Japanese. 1950s. Yonezawa (also known as "Yone" or "Y") was Japan's largest post-war toy manufacturer. The company's logo is a Y within a 5 petal cherry blossom motif. The cherry blossom was used as it symbolized both life and death, the sense of vitality and the reminder that life is fleeting - all very predominant in Japanese culture. A great toy for collectors of automobilia, Opel and Japanese toys in general. Marked, with Yonezawa trademark on box and inside rear windshield. Marked, "Made in Japan", on rear seat and visible at rear windshield. Embossed, on underside. Marked, "Buick", on wheel covers.
Condition
Toy is in excellent condition. Untested. Glossy colour. Minor scratches. Battery compartment is clean. Box is in excellent condition with slight, but intact, bulging on one side.
Medium
