Description
Japanese. 1960s. Yonezawa (also known as "Yone" or "Y") was Japan's largest post-war toy manufacturer. The company's logo is a Y within a 5 petal cherry blossom motif. The cherry blossom was used to symbolize both life and death, the sense of vitality and the reminder that life is fleeting- all very predominant in Japanese culture. A great toy for collectors of automobilia, Cadillac and Japanese toys in general. Marked, "Made in Japan", with Yonezawa trademark logo on underside.
