Four Black Duck decoys from the prolific carver Cliff Avann (1888-1965), Toronto, Ontario. The earlier two, second quarter 20th century, are in sound condition but showing significant gunning wear and paint loss. The second two, also in original paint, are in good condition, date from the 3rd quarter 20th century, and exhibit moderate wear. One is missing the tack eyes.
