Marshalltown, Nova Scotia. Late 1965 or 1966. Although this image is seldom seen, it is a serial image that spans three decades. Lewis had a knack for including many joyful subjects in her work while not allowing any to be overshadowed or lost. The cow, the spring flowers, the blossoming trees, farm buildings, roads and paths, the hill on the horizon, and the clouds highlighted by a blue sky all contribute to the warmth of this work.
