Description
Toronto, Canada. C. 1891. This is a Conservative Party of Canada poster lithograph encouraging voters to embrace tradition and protectionism by reelecting Sir John A. Macdonald (1815 - 1891) as Prime Minister. Featuring his official campaign slogan, this effort proved successful, but sadly just 3 months after this 6th majority victory, the Prime Minister would pass away. One of the most notable and iconic early Canadian election posters. Marked, "Published by the Industrial League, Frederic Nicholls, Hon. Sec.", in bottom margin, "Toronto Lith Co", at bottom-right.

Very good condition. Very minor colour loss top-middle. Not examined outside of frame.
