This is a Conservative Party of Canada poster lithograph featuring a political cartoon meant to ridicule the notion of unrestricted reciprocity (i.e. "free trade") between Canada and the United States- specifically mocking Canadian-born politician Richard John Cartwright (1835 - 1912) and implying that he was a puppet of US trade interests. Marked, "Published by the Industrial League, Frederic Nicholls, Hon. Sec.", in bottom margin, "Toronto Lith Co", at bottom-right.
