Description
German. 1940s. Both toys are marked "U.S.-Zone Germany". Post-war German manufacturers were banned from exporting goods. Americans occupying the territories permitted the sale and export of toys so long as they were marked "Made in U.S. Zone Germany". This marking was used from the mid to late 1940s. Marked on box, sides of feet, and metal bases.
Condition
Monkey (#883) and Clown (#882) are both in excellent condition. Windups tested and working. Includes one original box with instructions and key.
