Marshalltown, Nova Scotia. C. 1975. After Maud Lewis died, her husband Everett took up painting to have something to offer people who continued to come to the cabin in search of her artwork. Here he has painted his version of the Maritime staple of two yoked oxen with, it has been suggested, Maud Lewis as driver standing to the right and two mules with riders in the foreground. Signed "Everett Lewis" at lower center.
