Description
A pair of 18th century Quebec diamond point doors in butternut. Each door has three deeply carved St Andrews cross panels with the unusual addition of an incised diamond at the centre intersection. Refinished in the 1950s, the doors retain a deep warm patina with the inside in old white paint. The keyholes have been filled and hinges removed. Ex collection George and Louise Richardson. Quebec, circa 1780.
Provenance
From the Kathryn and late David Richardson Collection.
