Canadian. C. 1970. A very unusual folk art "rocking horse" in the form of a dragon, mounted on a typical rocking platform with two cross braces for support. The brass-eyed dragon is painted in a unique brown and mint motif in original paint and texture. Tension chains were used to help secure it to the base. Iron brackets support the backrest, and the reins are made of hemp rope.

As found condition. One tension chain is missing and surface wear is consistent with age and use.
