Nova Scotia. C. 1930. Nothing brings a smile easier than a whimsical whirligig. This one, a very early work by a Nova Scotia folk artist, is painted in black and green to the tips, with a white neck ring and red eyes. The duck, carved in pine, has spectacular working motion and is mounted on a copper pipe.
