American. 1860-1880. These types of lamps were made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Massachusetts and other manufacturers. The maker of this lamp is unknown. Glass, brass, marble. Opaque white overlay font cut to cranberry pyriform font with four horizontal bands of punty or oval cuts creating windows to the opal laticinio swirling to the interior, brass stamped stem, marble base. #1 early lip chimney, #1 lip burner. Opal Oregon shade. Burner thumbwheel marked, “E.F.JONES.PAT’D JAN.11.59, HOLMES BOOTH & HAYDEN’S.PAT’D.JAN.24.60. SEPT.16.62.”
