American. 1860-1880. These types of lamps were made by Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Sandwich, Massachusetts and other manufacturers. The maker of this lamp is unknown. Glass, brass, marble. Red and white loops on colourless font, brass stamped stem, black veined marble base. #1 early lip chimney, #1 early lip burner. Frosted and colourless ball shade with fluted red rim with rough cut quatrefoils and engraved stars. Burner thumbwheel marked, “E.F.JONES.PAT’D.JAN.11.59."
