Description
Two (2). Canadian. 1870s. Hardwood, glass, pine. The child's optical toy is made with a multi-faceted amethyst coloured piece of glass set within a bentwood visor. The field of vision is reduced such that each facet and gives a dazzling effect as it is moved about. Together with a chip-carved, unpainted rattle made from nine interlocking pieces of wood.
Condition
Rattle is in good condition. The top of the optical toy is slightly separated from platform with a crack to the bentwood cover.
