Round wooden splint box with polychrome paint decoration. The lid features a "distelfink" (stylized goldfinch) between floral branches, with matching floral decoration to the bottom half. Straight-edged lap joints secured with nails and the initials "D&B" marked on the underside of the base. Ex. Marty Osler Collection. From the Alan Emerson Collection.
