An early 19th century pine deed box with drawer in untouched surface, originally purchased from the Black family of Amherst Nova Scotia. In dry red surface with a yellow drawer having green painted cock beading and the original brass knob, the box retains faint original faux graining and a floral urn motif above the drawer.
