A First World War "trench art" shell casing jug memorializing the major battles of the Canadian 52nd battalion at Vimy Ridge, Ypres, Somme, Hill 60, and Lens Avion Arras. A fine example of trench art with a scalloped edge to the opening and an applied scrolled handle. Engraved 1917 with the number 52 within a maple leaf. Dark brass patina. H: 9", L: 7", W: 3.5".
