Description
American. 1825. Mahogany double decker with carved half round columns and feather and rosette splat (uniquely different). Wood Roman numeral dial with gold/ red spandrels. Eight-day time and strike wooden works weight driven movement with compounded weights and recoil escapement. Label marked, "Eight Day Clocks Manufactured and Sold by Jerome & Darrow, Bristol, Conn." 40" (h); 19" (w); 6" (d). Double tablet - upper missing, lower is reverse painting. (Possible replacement).
