Description
American. 1930s. Single-sided embossed tin (SST). This is a spectacular early sign advertising Pepsi Cola with Pepsi cooler graphics. The logo on this sign is known as the "double dot" or "logo with a colon", for the 2 dots that separate the words Pepsi and Cola. Pepsi, a company known for frequently changing their logo, used the double dot until 1940. The beautiful lady removing a bottle from the cooler, is shown in art deco style fashion, with gloves, a wide-brimmed hat and purse with deco style columns, all reminiscent of the fashion style of the mid to late 1930s. She is seen removing a 12 ounce bottle of Pepsi from the cooler, dating this to post 1934, when Pepsi first introduced the 12 ounce bottle. This sign rarely comes to market in any condition. Its vibrant and glossy colors will display well and will be a great addition to any Pepsi, advertising, soda pop, signage or any general collection of hard-to-find collectibles. Authenticated by The Authentication Company (TAC #500076). All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for delivery to the Spring Dixie Gas & Oil Show on April 10-12 2025.
