Waterford, Ontario. C. 1890. This merchant's stoneware bowl was likely produced at the Brantford Pottery during the latter part of William Welding's ownership (1873-1894). References to L.D. (Lorenzo) Grover operating a grocery store in Waterford can be found in Ontario directories dating from the 1890s. Marked, "Made Expressly For / L.D. Grover / Waterford, Ont" top middle.
