Brantford, Ontario. 1870s. J.S. Hamilton & Co. were the sole Canadian agents for The Pelee Island Wine & Vineyards Company. Larger stoneware jugs from the merchant often refer to themselves as "Mammoth Wine House". Marked, "J.S. Hamilton & Co. / Wine Merchant / 119 & 121 Dalhousie St. / Brantford" top middle.
Condition
Very good, very small chip on the back at the base.
