Description
A naive small pine deed box heavily incised with a running rabbit on the top and a bird with raised wings on the front, both surrounded by incised scrolls. The moldings on the base and top are incised with a linked chain pattern. Original hinges and original paint. Pembroke, Ontario, late 19th century. Marked, bottom "Martin".
Condition
Untouched original surface. Marker scribbles inside and on bottom.
