Painting of a late summer scene with the foreground showing a stack of cordwood in the shadows of the trees with sunlit grain fields behind by Frank Panabaker (1904-1992). Panabaker was born in Hespeler, Ontario, and after studying with Arthur Lismer and J.E.H. MacDonald he began a long career as a landscape painter covering Southern Ontario, the Muskoka region and the Canadian Rockies. Signed lower right. Frame signed reverse, upper middle.
Condition
Retained in original frame. Frame secured by tape. Minor pebble-sized loss to upper canvas edge, center.
