Description
A show towel/sampler by "M_ria Lichti" dated 1872 and found in the 1960s in Brunner Ontario (Wilmot Township). Finely stitched on linen showing multiple alphabet styles (9), distelfinks, birds, baskets of flowers, trees, etc. Colours still strong, minor stains and minor loss on the bottom edge. Mounted in a contemporary frame. Nine Alphabets, 23 symbolisms including tree of life, distelfinks etc.
Condition
Framed. Some fading.
