Description
The Allen Cup was held in similar prestige to the Stanley Cup during the early days of hockey history in Canada. Featuring the likes of Hall of Fame goaltender George Hainsworth and Hall of Fame Defenceman Earl Seibert, the 1918 Allen Cup was won by the Kitchener "greenshirts". The Greenshirts challenged the Toronto Dentals for the championship and were victorious, bringing the cup to Kitchener for its final resting place and crowning the club the Worlds Amateur Champions. The postcard offered here features this historic team and their future Hall of Fame inductees.
