Description
Canadian. 1923. This original locomotive number plate is from a 4-6-2 K3 Class steam locomotive, originally built and operated by the Grand Trunk Railway (GTR) for passenger service starting in 1911. It was initially assigned locomotive number 204 before being acquired by the Canadian National Railway. The boiler number was 1526. One of only 70 locomotives of this type built, it was decommissioned and scrapped in 1960. An example of this type survives and is proudly on display in Windsor, Ontario. Condition
