Description
Canadian. 1910s. Peabody's "Railroad King" overalls used the slogan, "Wear Like a Pig's Nose". During World War I, the company manufactured uniforms for the British Army. In 1915 a group of American-based German sympathizers bombed the factory. Despite the bombing, the building stood until 1985 when it was demolished. Authenticated by The Authentication Company. Condition
Grade: 9.5. Excellent condition. One pea-sized factory flaw beneath the 'O' of "Overalls", and in the 'B' of "Peabody's". Two flea bites to the upper edge. One chip to the porcelain, extreme upper left corner. Fastened to the original notched wood frame with the original round-head slotted screws. Superb colour and gloss.
