Canadian. Early 1900s. A great depiction of the Ontario Brewing & Malting Co. located between 311 and 337 King St. E. in Toronto. The company was located on one of the original ten blocks of the City of Toronto, with Brewery, Elevator and Malt House nicely illustrated to show the distinctive workings of a brewery and malting company. A difficult to find advertisement, particularly in its original frame with the original "Ontario B & M Co. Toronto" imprinted at top center of the gesso frame. Gesso frames are wood frames with decorations in gesso (the Italian word for chalk). Marked, "Ontario B & M Co. Toronto", at top center of frame. Marked, "Rolph Smith & Co. Toronto", at lower right of print. Stamped, with gallery stamp, on reverse. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions.
