Description
Canadian. Early 1950s. The Vendo Company is the world's largest manufacturer of cold beverage vending machines. This Vendo 39 machine was manufactured by Kelvinator of Canada. As one of the smaller Coca-Cola dispensers, this model would have originally been designed for smaller volume locations such as grocery stores or gas stations. While the company made vending machines for a variety of beverage companies, perhaps the best known are the machines made for the Coca-Cola Company. The model number defines the machine, with the "F" referring to an upright, single-selection, coin operated machine and the "39" meaning that it holds 39 bottles. Originally a nickel machine, this one has been converted to a 7 cent machine. The smaller and earlier Vendo machines, such as this model, are hard to find and coveted by Coke and vending machine collectors alike. Marked, "The Vendo Company Kansas City", on the coin slot panel. Marked, "Vendo", on the bottle dispenser below the door. Tagged, "Kelvinator of Canada", at left side of machine. All items are guaranteed authentic by Miller & Miller Auctions. All purchases are eligible for paid delivery to the Spring Dixie Gas & Oil Show on April 10-12 2025.
