English. Late 19th century. Walking stick with gold filled top with repousse and chased design, having a dark mahogany stained shaft. Together with another hardwood walking stick with a gold plated top with repousse and chased designs. With a gold-filled band engraved for "Capt. J. O'Crowell". Both with white metal ferrules. Hallmarked, on lower edge of head. Engraved, on band.

Rosewood example retains the original custom cloth sleeve with fraying and tears to the tip. Minor marks to the surface. The ebony example has some oxidation and pitting to the top of the ferrule. Patina as well as tarnish to the top of the head.
