German. 1910s. Despite the French name, Georges Carette was a German company that produced a large line of superb toys. This Carette open limousine was made during a period when cars were only for the very rich and the toys based on them were also only for the very rich. A hard-to-find toy in any condition. Unmarked.
Condition
Good to very good original condition. Comes with original driver made of pressed sawdust. Appropriate wear for its age. The clockwork spring is present but does not "catch".
