English or American. C. 1900. Walking stick with bronze swivel-type cannon handle. The cannon with functional drilled touchhole. These were sometimes used as a noisemaker during parades and celebrations. The cannon will tilt up/down approximately 40 degrees. Shaft appears to be mahogany. Brass ferrule at bottom. Unmarked.
Condition
Surface has heavy patina and some oxidation from gunpowder around the mouth of the barrel and the ignitor. Some nicks and impressions to the surface. Cannon will tilt up/down approximately 40 degrees. Brass ferrule.
