Japanese. 1950s. An exceptional example of a toy that advertised Mobil Gas and the magnificent red Pegasus advertising logo. While little is known about the "Plaything" company, the toy is representative of Japanese toys of the 1950s. A great addition to any petroliana, automobilia, Pegasus, and toy collection in general. Marked, "Plaything Made in Japan", on box and rear of cab.

Very good to excellent condition. Friction is working. Paint is glossy and vibrant. Minor nicks and one faint impression on the passenger side, middle of the tanker over the Mobil Gas logo. Original box is in good condition with a tear at one corner.
