Description
German. 1940s/1950s. Toys marked, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany" evolved post WWII, when American authorities occupied certain controlled territories in Germany. In order for toys to be permitted to be sold and exported out of German territory, the marking, "Made in U.S.-Zone Germany" had to be included. Marked, "Arnold", on gas tank and wheels. Marked, "Made in U.S. Zone Germany", on right exhaust pipe.
Condition
Good untouched original condition. Windup clockwork mechanism tested and working. Shows discoloration to body of driver. Nicks and scratches with corrosion to chrome. Rear wheel cover has separated.
