German. 1920s. Lehmann was best known for their painted clockwork toys and tin windups. They ended their production of windups in the mid 1920s. Lehmann toys remain among the most highly sought after toys by collectors. The Galop 760 was one of the most popular and best selling of the Lehmann toys. The Galop was often sold with the 771 garage, making this pair as they were intended. Marked with Lehmann trademark logo on rear of racer. Marked "Lehmann" on right side below driver, on wheels, on garage and on original key. Marked "Made in Germany" on rear of racer and on garage Marked "D.R.G.M." on underside.
Condition
Toy is in very good condition. Toy clockwork mechanism tested and working. Garage is in good condition and requires one door hinge. Both show very light playwear and edgewear.
