Digby, Nova Scotia. Last quarter 20th century. A bright and colourful rooster by Stephen Outhouse. This cock-of-the-walk is painted in vivid primary colours with unique striped tail feathers and orange, boot-like feet. It stands on a plain dark green base. Identical to the rooster on page 102 in Ray Cronin's, "Nova Scotia Folk Art, An Illustrated Guide." Exhibited in 2024 at the Lunenburg Art Society Museum in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Signed, on bottom of base.
