Alderville, Ontario. Mid 20th century. A chip-carved wall rack decorated with items associated with hunting and fishing, including a canoe, oar, axe, gun, saw, and a large fish. Created by "George Beaver, Alderville," as carved into the front. Alderville First Nation is a band of Mississaugas, a sub-nation of the Ojibways, located in Central Ontario. Carved, "George Beaver, Alderville", into front.
Condition
One small piece missing - the handle of saw. Wear at top where it would hang.
