A running horse weathervane depicting Dexter, the famous racing horse of the 1860s, constructed in moulded copper with a cast zinc head. Nice verdigris surface. Overall very good condition with minor dents and some bullet hole repairs. Mounted on a professional iron base. American, late 19th century. The lot includes two weathervane reference books.
